Be among the very first to try many of the new additions to our dynamic range of wines. On Friday, March 14th we'll be holding our first in-store wine tasting of 2008 when we'll be showing off a fabulous selection of Organic and Biodynamic wines from some of the world's leading estates. Highlights include; Albet i Noya and Fasoli Gino from Spain and Italy respectively. Their skilfull use of organic practices makes the wines from these estates among some of the very best. La Raia from Gavi in Italy are a multi medal-winning Biodynamic estate - their red and white wines have to be tasted to be believed. We'll also be pulling the corks on a brilliant array of French wines from boutique vineyards situated in Alsace, Beaujolais, Cahors and Saint Chinian to name but a few. The very best homegrown winemaking talent will also be present. We'll be showing a fine selection of both sparkling and still wines from Chapel Down in Kent. Trethowan's Dairy Shop (newly opened in St. Nicholas Market) will also be on hand to further tease your taste buds with some world class, award-winning, handmade cheese - some of which are made on their farm just outside the village of Llanddewi-Brefi, mid-Wales. The tasting is from 5-8pm and, just like many of the best thing in life, it's FREE - so don't hesitate to invite a guest.
